We have a follow now to a story we first brought you earlier in the week. The family that was forced out of their home because the city condemned it will not be sleeping on the street.
Prairie State Legal has picked up the family’s case and tells them the landlord, Todd Davis has to pay for them to stay in a hotel for a least the next seven days.
The family of eight is being forced out after begging Davis to fix electrical issues throughout the house for more than a year.
Just this week, the city cited Davis for criminal housing management.
We reached out Davis again today for comment. He responded to a text message saying the problems are being taken care of.
