Colon cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed type of cancer in the United States, according to the American Cancer Society. And, they predict there will be 95, 520 new cases of colon cancer and 39, 910 new cases of rectal cancer diagnosed this year. Statistics like that are personal for one of my next guests, although in his case, his type of cancer, Signet Ring Cell Adenocarcinoma, affects less than 1% of the people diagnosed with colon cancer. His name is Michael Brown, and he was diagnosed in 2010. He’s not content with just dealing with it. Rather, he’s determined to fight it. Why don’t you join him? He is joined by Shane Mitchell and his sons Jaxson and Karter.
