Thousands of more patients can soon be treated at a new 32,000 square foot health center in Bloomington. The Health Center is located at 720 W Chestnut St, Bloomington, IL 61701.
Chestnut Family Health Center went through an $8 million construction project. Leaders plan to move more than 5,000 patients in 2019. The Center provides primary care, behavioral health service, and medication assisted treatment for substance abuse disorders.
“We have sliding fee scale, we mainly serve those who are at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. So those people who are on Medicaid, this is a great place to come,” said CEO of Chestnut Health Systems David Sharar.
The Center served nearly 2,300 patients in 2018. In the future, the Center plans to offer dental services as well.
Chestnut Family Health Center officially opens on Wednesday March 20th.
