PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — One 18-year-old male died and two more individuals were injured after a shooting in Peoria at 2:32 p.m. near Central Avenue and Republic Street Saturday.

According to Peoria Police Public Information Officer Semone Roth, officers responded to a 10-round shot spotter alert. Police located three male victims, two adults and one juvenile, with apparent gunshot wounds.,

Officers immediately started lifesaving measures and AMT and PFD arrived on scene and took over lifesaving measures.

All three victims were transported to a local hospital. Peoria Police Chief Eric Echevarria confirmed that one of the adult victims died at the hospital. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said the deceased is an 18-year-old male.

Police said, around 8:30 pm, the other adult male was currently in stable condition and the juvenile male was in critical but stable condition.

No suspect information is available at this time.
