BLOOMINGTON – Home Sweet Home Ministries in Bloomington is kicking off its 100th year serving the Twin Cities.
The non-profit is highlighting its previous 99 years of accomplishments and a full slate of activities is planned throughout the year to commemorate the centennial.
Since the first Thanksgiving meal served to the cities’ homeless in 1917, the mission has made its purpose to help the people of McLean County through the toughest of times.
CEO Mary Ann Pullin told us, “There will always be needs. People will always have needs and we believe firmly that all of us have a responsibility to care for our neighbors.”
The McLean County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to commemorate the kickoff celebration.
