18 year-old arrested for South MacArthur shooting

PEORIA, Ill. - An 18 year-old man is behind bars after getting arrested for a shooting in the 200 block of South MacArthur.

The shooting occurred back on June 24 at 1:05 p.m.

A call was received by Peoria Police stating the victim of the shooting was inside an apartment in the 100 block of North Merriman Court. Officers located a 19 year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his leg in an upstairs apartment. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

During the course of the investigation, detectives gathered enough information to identify the suspect as Anny'e Green.

On Wednesday, law enforcement took Green into custody in the 500 block of East Melbourne. He was transported to the Peoria Police Department for questioning then to the Peoria County Jail.

He faces multiple charges including reckless discharge of a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
