The Peoria Public Schools Foundation is celebrating the new school year with brews and brats.
Dozens came out to the Peoria Riverfront Museum to enjoy food, brews and live entertainment, all to provide school uniforms for students in need.
The Peoria Public Schools Foundation provides close to 1,000 uniforms every year for the students.
“For our students, it’s not a great way to start the year or the school day if you don’t have the proper clothes or uniforms,” PPS Foundation President Cindy Morris said. “It really puts the students behind and we like to be that source or that resource for our families.”
This event has now replaced the winter-uniform fundraiser.
