A local woman turns 110 over the weekend

Local News

Each year we celebrate turning another year older.

It’s always big news when someone makes it to 100 years old, but a local woman is celebrating her 110th birthday!

Doris Snyder was born on August 10th, 1908.

Saturday, she celebrated her birthday with friends and family at the First United Methodist church right here in the River City.

When we asked her what the secret to living to be 110 is, she said that she never smoked, never drank, never gambled, but the key is much actually simpler than that.

Doris says, “I think the secret is to like everybody and to look for the good in them, that’s one thing I do try to do. I don’t run people down or say unkind things and I try to be nice to everyone and they’re sure nice to me.”

From all of us here at WMBD, we wanted to wish you the happiest of birthday’s.
