A Peoria mother is dealing with the loss of one son, and praying for the recovery of another

PEORIA - A Peoria mother is dealing with the loss of one son, and praying for the recovery of another after a Sunday morning crash.

29-year-old Cordero Henderson and 25-year-old Jeremy Burnside died after a car crash on Sheridan and Eleanor.

Burnside's mother says the third person in the car, recovering at a local hospital, is her younger son.

Police say the unamed victim was thrown from the car and transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Monday afternoon a local resident who lives around the corner from the crash happened said he was at the scene after the accident.

"I live around the corner and saw all the police cars and the activity and so forth.  And the car was still here against the tree across the street where it had come to rest.  It snapped off a utility pole, hit the pole so hard it broke the pole in half," said Todd Davis.

We still do not have the name of the younger son, who is currently in the hospital recovering.  We will update the story when we receive more information.
