BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Four eye care facilities and a well known spectacle boutique are joining forces to bring a new state of the art eye center to the twin cities. Doctors say the facility will provide the newest technology available that will improve and enhance the quality of diagnosing and treating eye conditions.
"For the first time we are going to have a facility that includes 9 optometrists and 3 incredibly wonderful ophthalmologists," said Dr. David K. Landess, optometrist at McLean County Eye Center. "That will allow us to provide a level of care that really hasn't been seen in our area."
The specialists are excited to bring this groundbreaking center to Bloomington and believe the change in location won't hurt them. They say that their customers have enjoyed the visits and that being able to provide them with even better facility and quality care would make them even happier.
He went on to say "If this was just about a building in a campus it would not be worth the effort. "This, for us, is more than a building. The building is a vehicle to get us to where we want to be, and where we need to be is being able to provide a solid facility, technology and patient experience."
The merger was announced today but a name for the 27,000 square foot facility has not been finalized. When erected, the building will be located on the corner of Airport rd. and Cornelius dr., just south of Central Catholic High School and McGraw Park. Their goal is to be moved in by the end of 2019.
