Ameren crews prepared to work around the clock due to high winds, ice causing outages

More than 17,000 Ameren Illinois customers were without power Tuesday afternoon.

Ameren has Emergency Operations Centers set up in Galesburg, LaSalle, and Peoria metro areas. 

Crews are prepared to work around the clock to help with power outages due to ice, high winds, and falling temperatures. The crews in each area have portable storm trailers and extra materials. 

If you lose power, you should report the outage to Ameren by calling (800) 755-5000. Keep up with information on outages here.
