Arrests made in two recent Bloomington shootings

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Bloomington Police Department has arrested a man and woman regarding two recent area shootings.

Wednesday, the BPD said 26-year-old Darren F. Gordon, of Normal, was arrested for five McLean County warrants, including aggravated battery/discharge firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful use of weapons, and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

His bond was set at $500,000 and he is currently being held in the McLean County Jail.

Additionally, Deliliah S. Dorsey, 23, of Normal, was arrested for prevent/aiding a fugitive. Her bond will be set by a judge.

The recent shootings mentioned occurred at 10:50 p.m. on July 11 on the 1900 block of Peach Street, and 5:21 p.m. on July 12 on the 400 block of N. Lee Street. Both involved juvenile males being shot.

As part of the investigation, a firearm was recovered.
