A central Illinois product is making it to the small screen.
Cosmo Finger Guard was invented in East Peoria and is a glove made out of synthetic cut-resistant yarn.
It helps keep cosmetologists and cooks from slicing their fingers.
The product caught the eye of infomercial giants As Seen On TV, which will be in town next week to shoot a spot that will run nationally.
It’s something inventor John McKee didn’t see coming at the beginning.
“At first, no. But as we started to push on and sales started to happen, we thought, ok, let’s really push this to where we get noticed. And we did,” he said.
The infomercial will be filmed in central Illinois with Five Senses Spa and Salon, Echo Valley Meats and Hampton’s Kitchen all making an appearance.
