McLean County Board Member Josh Barnett announced he will run for Bloomington City Council in the upcoming election.
Barnett currently represents District 10 on the County Board but says Bloomington has a strong need for economic growth and investment and believes he will be able to help the city.
He plans to push developers in the city to use local labor and materials for their projects and says this will help reduce the unemployment in the city.
Barnett has worked with Mayor Tari Renner in the past on the Bring It On Bloomington Comprehensive Plan and looks forward to working with him on finding solutions to the city’s problems.
The election will take place on April 2nd of 2019. Barnett will run for Ward 8.
