PEORIA, Ill. - An employee at the Bergner's location at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie is accused of changing prices on clothing to benefit her family.
According to a police report, the employee lowers the prices during her shift and has her daughter come in to purchase them. It has reportedly happened three times.
In a written statement, the employee says, "I made a terrible choice by not ringing up prices completely and also put some items in bags that I failed to ring up $500-$1,000."
The Bergner's location is set to close later this summer.
