Binny’s Beverage Depot could be the next business to call Westlake Shopping Center home.

Binny’s is scheduled to appear in front of Peoria’s Liquor Commission on April 1 to apply for a Class C (packaged goods) license. The company would be opening in the space left empty when Fresh Market closed its Westlake location last year.

The Illinois-based liquor store has 40 locations across the state, including one in Bloomington.

Greg Versch, director of communications for Binny’s Beverage Depot said in a statement:

We are thrilled to report that we’re in the final stages of negotiations to open Peoria’s first wine, spirits and beer superstore located in the former Fresh Market space. Peoria’s bedrock neighborhoods, storied history and progressive leadership make it a natural fit for our 41st store. Barring delays, we ar working for a late summer opening.
