BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The future of gaming in Bloomington is in the hands of City Leaders.
City Leaders in council chambers to talk video gaming, and it’s future here in the Twin Cities.
During the two-hour meeting, council members discussed the moratorium on new video gaming licenses that stands until September 1, 2019.
They looked at three options: Remove the moratorium and placing a limit on the number of licenses they hand out, removing the moratorium and having no limit on the number of licenses, or extending the moratorium.
The council was split on the issue and pushed the discussion to a future meeting, though they do say they want to come to an agreement before the moratorium ends.
