A Bloomington man has been arrested in connection with two separate arson cases.
Several witnesses reported seeing a white male set a dumpster on fire last Friday in the 600 block of North Western. The suspect fled on foot. A short time later, witnesses say a man lit a church sign and fence on fire in the 700 block of West Locust.
After a short pursuit, police arrested 21-year-old Corey Dowell for arson/place of worship and arson of property. He was been transported to the McLean County Jail. No other suspects are being sought in connection with the two cases.
