Bloomington man who forced a standoff now has a court date

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Bloomington man who forced a police standoff in the Twin Cities now has a court date.

Police were called on 36-year-old Thomas Lewis for a domestic dispute incident Friday afternoon.

As police arrived, he fled to his mothers house in Bloomington where he barricaded himself inside for hours while holding a weapon.

As police moved in, Lewis tried to flee out the back door, before being taken into custody.

He now faces felony charges and will be in court August 2nd at 9 a.m.
