Bloomington police locate handcuffed man who escaped Tuesday

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Bloomington Police Department on Thursday said the man who escaped in handcuffs on Tuesday has been taken into custody. 

The BPD said James Snow, 29, who escaped in the area of Cardinal Ridge Trailer Park in Bloomington, was taken into custody just after 11:50 a.m. The BPD worked with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. 

The arrest took place on Standish Drive in Bloomington, without incident.

The BPD thanked those who shared its initial post asking for the community’s help. 

The Illinois Department of Corrections was taking him into custody for an active warrant when he escaped and fled. Snow was previously arrested in McLean County for residential burglary and drug charges.
