Bloomington Police respond to recent shootings

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Bloomington Police Department is extending condolences to the families of the victims of recent shootings.

The McLean County Coroner pronounced 3 people dead at the scene at an apartment complex on Riley Drive. The victims were 22 year-old Corey Jackson, 22 year-old Nathaniel Pena, and 33 year-old Juan Perez-Macedo.

A four year-old boy was also shot but is in stable condition.

"To those family members, and friends that have been impacted from this tragedy, a lot of us at different times in our careers, have had contacts with different family members," says BPD Public Information Ofc. Elias Mendiola. "Our hearts of course go out also to the four year-old boy who as shot."

The Bloomington Police Department is encouraging anyone with information, regarding the shooting, to come forward.
