Bloomington teens arrested in stolen vehicle incident

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Three juvenile males were arrested after reportedly stealing a vehicle in Bloomington, officials said.

The Bloomington Police Department said the male teens were arrested at approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday. Officers were dispatched to the area of 5th Street and B Ave., for suspects burglarizing vehicles.

The BPD arrested one 13-year-old juvenile male and two others fled on foot. Eventually, the two other males, both 15, were located and arrested as well. 

Officers were given a description of the vehicle the suspects were in. A third shift officer located the suspect vehicle near Main Street and Veterans Parkway. Before the officer could stop it, the vehicle sped off and crashed near Main Street and Armory Road.
