BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Yesterday members of the YMCA staff noticed six owls on the ground in front of the building. They decided to take their new findings to social media and were amazed at how many people were interested in the exotic birds.
After being startled when they were first discovered, two fled. But even though they flew away that did not stop the YMCA staff from naming the other 4 Yvonne, Michelle, Colin and Andrew after the Y-M-C-A initials.
"The Y is for everyone we welcome all," said Tessa Gehrer, Director of Marketing and Membership Engagement. "So we are just including them as some of our new members."
The staff is afraid that the animals might fly away but they are happy they choose to stop by the Y on their journey.
