BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Bloomington Public Library will host its inaugural How-To Festival with quick lessons covering many different topics.
The How-To Festival will be an interactive educational event which will offer something for everyone, whether you’re a child, a teen, or an adult. During the three-hour festival, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in short, interactive lessons which will cover more than 30 activities.
The festival will take place Saturday, July 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at locations throughout the library.
Instruction will be provided by area experts and will include education in activities such as:
- playing the guitar, ukulele, or dulcimer
- befriending hummingbirds
- decorating cookies
- researching your family’s genealogy,
- using cloth diapers
- swing dancing
- seeding a garden
Many local Groups, organizations, and businesses will be providing instructions for the event include; Illinois Center for Math, Science, Technology, Music Shoppe, Illinois State University’s Hockey Team, Bloomington-Normal YMCA, Next Step Dance Studio, Bloomington Public Library and many more.
