PEORIA, Il - Bradley University's winter commencement took place Saturday morning at the Renaissance Coliseum.
Families and friends cheered as they heard their family member's name being called out on stage.
Almost 250 undergraduate and graduate students graduated this year.
Graduate Erica Haslag was the student commencement speaker this year. She said she was honored to be chosen to deliver the graduation speech.
"I am so happy I chose Bradley. At first I was kinda nervous because I had no idea who anyone was here. I am from the middle of Missouri so it's kind of a long trek but volleyball brought me here. I made so many friends through my experience here and so many professors that were amazing, and just the whole family feel," said Haslag.
Haslag will soon be heading to Tampa to begin graduate school.
