Bradley University student dies in fall at Quad Cities quarry

CLEVELAND, Ill. - A Bradley student is dead after a weekend accident in the quad cities.

19-year-old Alex Williams died Thursday at a Cleveland Illinois rock quarry. He was pronounced dead about 1:30 a.m. at the quarry. 

Numerous first responders were on the scene of the Cleveland Quarry early Thursday morning.

The fire chief confirmed Williams was with several others near the opening of the quarry, when he fell to his death.

At least four of the people with Williams were cited for trespassing.

Services for Williams are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Geneseo.
