CAT kicks off the holiday season

Local News

With Halloween passing us by many are already getting ready for the holidays. That is the case for the Caterpillar’s Visitor Center who hosted their annual holiday lighting ceremony Thursday night.

A massive excavator was covered with hundreds of lights to represent the start of the holiday season.
One lucky child was picked from a drawing to push the button that would turn the lights on.

“It’s just a unique thing to do. It’s something that we thought of three years ago that would be fun and gives people something a little different to come and see. And it really kicks off our holiday season,”   said Susan Morton, CAT Visitor Center Manager.

This opening ceremony was exclusively for Caterpillar employees and their families but the exhibit with the machine is open to the public.
