Illinois Central College’s international students hosted their 15th annual international fair in Peoria. The event offered an opportunity for the community to meet international students and celebrate their cultures through displays, food, music, and dance.
Organizers say being able to learn about and appreciate world cultures is a great way to have fun and grow.
“We’re very proud to be Chinese like where we come from and we are very honored to share our culture,” said Hong Jig. “I think Chinese food is very popular anywhere you go so we are just happy to be here.”
The event is sponsored by the Intercultural Diversity Committee and the diversity department, in conjunction with the ICC culinary arts program.
