PEORIA, Ill. — Eagle Point Solar hosted a luncheon on Tuesday to encourage community members to invest in solar energy.
They say that whether it be for a home, farm, or business, solar energy can save money and help the environment.
Larry Steffen with Eagle Point says education on solar energy is important, and can be easy for anyone to do.
He says the primary draw is lower electricity bills, but there are many benefits.
“There is a huge incentive in the state of Illinois that make the economics on solar arrays very attractive,” says Steffen.
He says 60 percent of solar arrays they’ve installed are residential, and it can help anyone save money.
