CityLink is extending their route along Knoxville avenue, north of Illinois Route 6 starting Tuesday. The stop will be located on the right-hand side of the Schnucks parking lot near C’est Ally Spa.
People will now be able to take the bus to Schnucks, Huck’s, McDonald’s and Walgreens. CityLink leaders said they are hoping this route is permanent but ridership is key.
“This is something we tried unsuccessfully back in 2016; however, we have had time to evaluate the area and determine that it is a feasible option now. We are hopeful that strong ridership will justify making this stop a permanent fixture on the #4 Knoxville Route,” said CityLink General Manager Doug Roelfs.
Weekday service will start at the 6:15 a.m. outbound lineup from the Transit Center, with the first arrival at this stop occurring at approximately 6:54 a.m. Service will run through the 5:45 p.m. outbound lineup; however, the last inbound departure from this stop with return service to the Transit Center occurs at approximately 5:24 p.m.
Saturday service will be available starting at the 8:15 a.m. outbound lineup from the Transit Center, with the first arrival at this stop occurring at approximately 8:54 a.m. Service will run through the 3:15 p.m. lineup, with the last inbound departure from this stop occurring at approximately 4:20 p.m. Sunday service is currently not available on the #4 Knoxville Route.
