NORMAL, Ill., The Kite Fest attracted several families today in Bloomington-Normal.

This was a unique event planned to bring the community together and raise money.

The Hancock Stadium was filled with children and parents flying kites.

Participants also enjoyed rock climbing, wall painting a talent show and more.
This fundraiser will benefit two local non-profit organizations and one global.

“[The] Bloomington-Normal community and you know Central Illinois communities have been so open-hearted and so welcoming about helping support any and all non-profits we have and within our community, we have a lot of non-profits,” Kite Fest Marketing Lead Tejas Jani said.

The two local non-profits that will receive the proceeds are the Goodwell Fund and a non-profit owned by The Pantagraph.
