NORMAL – A local elected leader meets with constituents after a big vote.
Congressman Rodney Davis held office hours with Twin Cities residents face to face Monday afternoon.
The Congressman returned to Central Illinois after voting to approve the Republican backed healthcare legislation.
Davis has been criticized in the past for refusing to hold town hall style meetings with constituents… something the crowd outside of the office wanted as well.
Protester Karla Huffman explained, “We need to be on equal footing and he needs to listen to our questions thoroughly and to be able to answer those in a town hall setting.”
Congressman Davis will also hold office hours in Champaign next week.
