Congressman Rodney Davis (R) was in Normal speaking to the public about any concerns they may have. This is part of his open door office policy he has been doing this month.
Davis discussed teacher salary and the wage decrease McLean County saw last year. He says despite what went on the economy is rising and in order to sustain it congress must invest in education and training for available jobs.
“Wages are actually going up,” said Davis. “You’re seeing job openings at good paying jobs such as Bridgestone where they need to get good skilled workers trained. There has never been a time in my lifetime with such a low unemployment rate to go find a good high paying job.”
Davis will be in Godfrey and Litchfield next month.
