TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill - Travis Reinking's father could potentially face charges in this case.
At this time WMBD isn’t aware if Jeffrey Reinking will be facing any charges relating to his son’s shooting in Nashville.
However, many are questioning if will since he was given weapons that were seized from his son after his FOID card was revoked last year.
According to police, Jeffery acknowledges giving weapons back to Travis. ATF investigators say the father may have violated federal law when he transferred weapons to a person who is prohibited.
During a press conference Tuesday ATF Special Agent Marcus Watson said, "All Federal partners are looking at him for any potential violations of federal firearm laws or obviously the homicide he committed, he potentially could face charges.”
