We’re learning more about the man accused of killing two people at a Bloomington house party.
Hammet Brown was arrested Tuesday in connection to the June 10 shooting on Orchard Road in Bloomington, that left Taneshiea Brown and Steven Alexander Jr. dead, and 2 others injured. Court records show police found 8 bullet casings on the scene. Investigators believe the the incident may have been gang related. Police said the suspect, Hammet Brown and victim Taneshiea Brown are not related.
Brown was found in Chicago and transported back to Bloomington.
At a bond hearing Wednesday, the judge ruled his bond will remain at $3 million. Brown’s public defender did not make a motion, but said they might at a later time.
He is being charged with 6 counts of first-degree murder and 2 counts of attempted murder. He’s due back in court July 6.
