Crash in Fulton Co. kills Pekin man

FULTON COUNTY, Ill. (WMBD) – A Pekin man is dead after a head-on crash in Fulton County near Banner Saturday night.

48-year-old Ronald Graznich Jr. was driving in the wrong lane at the intersection of U.S. Highway 24 and McKinley Road around 6:00 P.M. That’s when he hit another car, causing both to overturn.

The driver of the second car had to be removed. They were lifefighted to OSF Healthcare St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. The passenger was also taken to the hospital.

U.S. Highway 24 was closed for almost three hours while crews investigated what happened. The Fulton County Sheriff’s office, Copperas Creek Fire and Rescue, Buckhart Fire and Rescue, Fulton County EMS, Fulton County Coroner’s office and OSF Lifeflight all assisted at the scene.
