PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. — The Digital Bookmobile is helping people in Peoria access e-books and audio books.

Since 2008, the bookmobile has traveled thousands of miles touring the United States and Canada.

Digital specialists help community members navigate the Libby app and bring their favorite books with them anytime, anywhere.

Specialists say access to e- and audio books help readers with issues like library hours, book font size, and dyslexia.

“Our goal is really to travel around to these libraries, and show people that they do have access to e-books and audio books, without necessarily having to go to the physical library,” said digital specialist Marissa Gillett.

If you missed a chance to visit the bookmobile, you can still take advantage of digital books.

The Libby app is available on phones and tablets, and using your Peoria Heights library card, you can login and read digital books.
