Discounted Ring security equipment could be available soon

Local News

PEORIA, Ill. — Tuesday, Peoria City Council voted to defer a plan to partner with ring security cameras until the next meeting.

City leaders are considering buying 1,000 cameras at a discount to pass on to neighbors. If council does approve it in the future, the city could spend up to $50,000.

The goal is to raise awareness about property crime and keep homeowners safe and prevent crime.
