Dream Center Peoria is all about encouraging self-growth and prosperity.

Thursday, they launched a new initiative to help people land jobs.

The Career Center is an extension of The Hope Store, a place where people can go to find interview ready clothing.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be here for the help,” said Anna Aguilar, Hope Center Shopper. “And to be able to make it to my interviews and to be able to get these jobs and permanent housing.”

The center says they saw a need, and volunteers were determined to make it happen.

“We just felt we could step up,” said Andy King, Executive Director, Dream Center Peoria. “One of the big things here at Dream Center Peoria is showing people dignity, compassion and purpose and so we felt in doing this extension of the the Hope Store we could show dignity, compassion and even purpose.”

There is no cost to use this service and clothing is based on availability. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

There are some guidelines you have to follow to gain access to The Career Center:
