For those who dread going to the DMV, or sometimes forget to renew their vehicle registration, there is a new law to help with that.
A new law passed this week allows drivers to register their vehicles for two years at a time, instead of just one. The annual fee remains the same, so drivers would pay for the two years up front.
In addition to saving drivers time, the new law also aims to save the state money on postage used to send out registration reminders and stickers.
Those interested can apply for the multi-year registration online or by mail.
