The East Peoria Festival of Lights is looking for community members to get involved in this year’s Parade of Lights.

Officials are looking for volunteers to drive floats and walk with them along the parade route. The parade is at 5:45 p.m. Nov. 17.

Drivers are required to be 18 years or older. Walkers, who help guide the float drivers, should be at least 15, unless with a parent or guardian.

The Festival’s mascot is the wooden soldier Folepi, whose name serves as an acronym for “Festival of Lights, East Peoria, Illinois.”
