UPDATE (10 p.m.) — As of 10 p.m., there have been 33,250 ducks adopted, which is 95% of the Center for Prevention of Abuse’s goal for 2023. So far, there has been $131,552 in donations raised from those who have purchased the ducks.
There are just 1,814 more ducks to be adopted before the goal is reached before the race on Saturday.
UPDATE (5:15 p.m.) — As of 5 p.m., there were still just over 2,300 ducks left.
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — There are still times for those interested to get their ducks in a row ahead of the 35th Annual Duck Race.
According to Duck Race’s website, as of 1 p.m., there were still a little over 2,500 ducks left. This year’s goal was to have 35,000 ducks adopted.
All the money raised benefits the Center for Prevention of Abuse.
The duck tagging will begin Wednesday night. The race will be held on Saturday at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria.
