Dunlap School District let six selected students break the ground for the grade school’s latest expansion project.
“I think it’s very important that more classroom are added so other people can get a chance to learn more,” says Ayobami Ajayi, 6th Grader at Dunlap.
Thanks to the Peoria County Facility Sales Tax, close to 10 school rooms, an auxiliary gym along with science and music expansions, will help accommodate close to 200 new students once construction is complete.
“I know we are adding another gym, plus a lot of other classrooms to accommodate for more students in the building,” says Sammy Varness, 7th Grader at Dunlap.
Construction is slated to start in August.
