BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - McLean County authorities are looking for a man posing as a police officer.
Deputies received a call Saturday where they were told someone was pulled over by a man pretending to be a a law enforcement official. The incident occurred in rural Bloomington on 700 North Road between 1900 East Road and 1600 East Road. The man, described as a thin white male in his 40's, allegedly used blue flashing lights to get the victim to pull over. He then tried to subdue the the victim, but failed. The victim then hurriedly drove away.
The suspects vehicle was described as a mid-size black four-door car with blue lights in the front and back windows.
McLean County Sheriff's deputies have contacted local fire departments in an attempt to locate a suspect, but have been unsuccessful so far.
