Families raise money for TFI

Local News

BLOOMINGTON, Ill– Families created a baked goods and lemonade sale at Prep Freeze and Cook for The Forgotten Initiative to benefit foster children.

Parent volunteer Kelly Holevoet said she and her children thought of the idea because they wanted their children to have a chance to volunteer and raise money for basic necessities for foster children.

They hosted two bake sales this month, and all proceeds will go towards FTI to purchase items including backpacks, diapers and sippy-cups.

Although another bake sale is not planned, FTI will still accept monetary donations. For more information about how to get involved visit FTI’s website.
