Peoria firefighters and paramedics responded to reports of a fire thirty-thirty Coffee Co. around 11:30 a.m. Monday morning.

A coffee bean roaster caught fire and got into the vent system, causing a heavy smoke presence throughout the building and up to the roof of the building. Officials said there were no injuries.

Main Street was closed between Perry Ave and Kumpf Blvd.

While enroute, the dispatcher relayed that she could see heavy smoke coming from the roof of the building. Extra companies were called to the scene.

The store is closed for the rest of Monday. The coffee shop’s Junction City location is still open.
