PEORIA, Ill. - Fire broke out for the second time in several days at a home in Peoria.
It happened just before 7:00 Monday morning on the 2000 block of Antoinette.
The house is vacant and no one was inside at the time. The fire appears to have started outside of the home.
Firefighters were able to put it out quickly, but damage from the last fire did create some challenges.
"It was on the interior so the stairs to the upper level of the home were already burned out from that previous fire so crews did have a little bit of difficulty reaching that part of the home, but found no fire in that area."
There's no word yet on if arson is suspected, but the fire investigator will be on scene Monday.
