PEORIA, Ill. — The River City Pride Festival took over Glen Oak Amphitheater on Saturday, putting many LGBTQ+ organizations together in one place.
People were able to enjoy live music, a drag show, ace painting and even learn something new from the informational tables. This free event hopes to be a safe space for everyone.
“This is something that this community needs. It’s about time that we just start bringing people together. Honestly this event is just about diversity and inclusion and that’s really what we are promoting all day long,” said Nicole Livsey, co-chair at the River City Pride Festival.
Anyone who missed this, can plan on seeing the event back next year.
