A new document was filed in the alleged corruption trial of former Congressman Aaron Schock.
U.S. District Court documents from late last week reveal that Schock’s attorneys have asked to dismiss Count 11, the theft of government funds count listed in his indictment. The motion suggests the Government cannot lump 5-years worth of alleged thefts into a single count.
Schock’s team says if it isn’t thrown out, it would hinder trial preparation. The U.S. District Court has not issued a ruling on the motion.
