BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Outdoor concerts are set to continue at Franklin Park through July.
Every concert starts with the Star Spangled Banner and closes with Amazing Grace. The pieces in between will keep audiences guessing as they are new every week. Concerts occur every Thursday until the end of July. Performances start at 7 p.m.
The concert series first started at Miller Park. After playing in various locations the concerts settled at Franklin Park and have now been going for 30 years.
Franklin Park is located at the corner of Walnut and McLean Streets in Bloomington. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating.
Ice cream socials will also be held at historic sites around Franklin Park. Socials will be held through out the summer and take place at 6 p.m.
